Well, finally we have happy news! I wanted to see him on the team while Laurel was there, but I think he'll do great there, and I can't wait to see how he will work with them.

^ I dont remember. I know he wanted to help Noah and Felicity but that was it, i thought.
I think he might decide to join the team because in the end when dark came after them... Well he was useless.

Yeah it seemed like he had gotten hurt badly and didn't want to be victimized again so he probably feels Felicity he wants in and she brings him to the lair for Oliver to train. I'm just glad they seem to avoiding the kill a loved one route they usually go on these shows when creating superheroes. Sounds like they will deal with how Paul isn't so excited to see Curtis coming home injured constantly. That will be fun. Just please let Paul live!

I think he wants to join the team because of maybe what happened with Darhk in the finale.

plus maybe Felicity puts it out there they need new members

He was fine in the finale though. Emotionally speaking. He was hurt but he was like giving Oliver pep talks and stuff. There was no indication that getting hurt by DD was leaving emotional scars for him. And he was practically making jokes while he and Felicity and her father at one point were trying to stop nukes so no indication that was bothering him that much either. (Not that they had a lot of time for that but they didn' even hint at anything like that). So why would any of that make him so angry 4 minutes maths later? Plus he was clearly badly injured when he was asking to join the team. I think something happened more recently. And then Felicity maybe picks up on him being so upset and invites him. Though I could kind of see him just showing up on vigilante training day not knowing that's what is and being like train me please train me now because Olicity didn't think he wanted to join so they didn't ask him but then something happens and he shows up at just the right time. I don't know. We'll see.
