I'm really liking what they've done with the character of Dinah, and JH has done very well with the role. This, to me, is the Black Canary the show should've always had.

Beyond that, I really like her dynamic with Oliver, and I'd love to see that explored. And her scenes with Diggle tonight were great - I like that it seems like they could have a real friendship there.

I'm in the same boat as you. I really like Dinah from what I've seen so far, but I am scared to get myself emotionally invested after the mess the show has made out of the Black Canary character. I always expect the writers to pull the rug out from under my feet at this point.

I agree with you. Here's hope to see a good development of her character. Perhaps without touching the Black Canary topic the writers will do better.
