BTW, I guess this is the right thread to ask - what's the deal with Bucky and Natasha? Are they still an item in current series or they were featured in older comics?

They're an item in the current WS run. However in the WS movie, they could push Steve/Nat together rather than Bucky/Nat or Steve/Sharon.

Anyway. Sebastian Stan is pretty popular and I'm sure that would help if they pursued Natasha/Bucky in the movie-verse. Although, Clint/Natasha seem popular, too. Hmm.

At least I'll always have Steve/Mee.

I had really wanted Steve/Sharon but it seems like Emily VanCamp has been pushed out as leading lady in favor of Scarlett, which makes me sad. EVC/Agent 13 only has the Cap movies to really solidify her character. Scarlett gets to be in the Avengers movies as well as several MCU movies. Oh well. We can't always get what we want.

It's probably because there aren't plans for a Black Widow solo movie in the immediate future, so the alternative/closest thing Marvel decided to go with was have her in a major role in The Winter Soldier in light of her comics backstory.

Sorry for Sharon, I know you were really looking forward to her.

But her minor role in Cap 2 will likely lead to a major one in the third installment (I know it's not exactly consolation considering how much wait there is to do for that, but).

Hahaha! I discovered they had a thing when the Winter Soldier was announced last summer and so much Bucktasha appear on my dash now. I can't stay away

I don't know how I managed to stay in the dark about them for so long, considering I got back on tumblr long before I discovered the pairing and I follow a lot of Avengers fans.

(although, to be fair, the majority of them are mostly into the Thor-verse)
