He is amazing in both movies. It's just you love that you hate him  and you can't wait to see what his next move is.

This is random, but I can't help but giggle every time I see this. :lmao:

I love that picture!

LOL @ that picture. Gotta love Loki's "I'm judging your unrestrained lust" face.

When I opened the thread I was tempted to use this quote from one of Tom's Avengers interview for the title:
"What do you and Loki have in common?" - "We're both sexy."
He was joking, but... :D

Loved the bit where the hulk bashed him about :D

Hawthorn 07-02-2012 08:01 AM

According to many reviews that was the funniest bit of the movie. People in my showing completely cracked up at that bit, and at Hulk punching Thor out of the blue.

:P I don't! I think my favorite part is when he's in the Hulk's cage and talking to Natasha

Dynamite 07-02-2012 08:10 AM

Haha, do you actually like him as a character?

Hawthorn 07-02-2012 08:18 AM

I LOVE Loki, but he so deserved that beating.

That scene is fantastic. I think Tom mentioned how much he enjoyed that one-on-one with Black Widow, too. Great dialogue from both characters, and you can see how well-matched they are - both smart manipulators, always reading between the lines of what the person in front of them says.

I honestly do. He's a complex character in the movies, comics, and mythology itself. And I don't define him as a whole villian, I think he does whatever will get him more ahead in life and if that's fighting on the side of evil, he's going to do what it takes. I think he's so dark in The Avengers movie because he's been in exile and pretty much has fumed over what transpired between his family and him.

Add me :thud: Tom just makes Loki, how can you hate Loki when Tom is one sexy beast plus so many layers

eireanne 07-02-2012 09:19 AM

Tom is beautiful *sigh* and I think I could have his laugh on repeat and never be bored of it!

crash landing 07-02-2012 09:22 AM

I do like/love him  Tom does such a GREAT job with him, both movies Thor and The Avengers. He plays to all the layers and Loki has them. You really do see them in Thor and he even brought it up to Thor in The Avengers. He's always the shadow of Thor

miranstarr 07-02-2012 10:39 AM

I too like/enjoy Loki as a character. The thing I like about the Marvel movies is that nothing is ever just black or white. The shades of grey are where the emotions lurk. I feel like Loki is a bad/evil person not because he wants to be one, but that rather he feels like that's his only chance of one-upping Thor and getting some attention that he feels he otherwise wouldn't get. Sure Odin loves Loki, but he loves Thor more. Thor, who excels at everything he does and is beloved by the Asgardians, never realizes that slinking in his shadows is his brother who has always felt unwanted and unneeded. Underneath the sneering and snarling demeanor of Loki lies a broken child who wants to be loved as equally and emotionally as his brother by the people he considered his family.
