He seems that way in interviews, he also seems to not take himself too serious, he can laugh at himself.

It probably will be, he is also in Foxcatcher which was made in 2014 but got a wide release this year.

I haven't watched it yet either, I've seen a trailer and posters around the city but it didn't really convince me. Seems like a good movie but one I can wait to watch.
