Is that your last one on Saturday or do you have more coming up? Good luck!
Maybe political is the wrong word, I just generally like this thread/this board to be happy and fun and not be brought down by the struggles and disasters of real life After like 2 years I finally watched Mindhunter season 1, just in time for season 2 to come out! __________________

I'm sorry to have been MIA guys, I'm just soooo tired And it's not gonna get any better this week either
But in whatever free time I do have, I've started Mindhunter and also Fleabag and am enjoying both. AND I do not understand some people and their decision to watch VM S4 __________________

I know I was sort of spoiled for the big twist at the end so I thought I could at least enjoy that, but no such luck
What else are you watching right now? __________________

I kept asking myself one question when watching the season: "Where's Wallace?"
...ok sometimes I asked "Where's Weevil?" too. Quote:

Hi, Sheida! I hope you get some rest.
Hi, Kush! Hi, Anja! Well, I'm switching apartments in two weeks, but after that I'm going to be making plans to move permanently. Just taking it one day at a time right now. Well, no need to burst my bubble, Anja. I'm well aware of inequality and abuse that happens in the world. But right now in the USA abortion is still legal, women have far more rights here now than ever before, although equal pay is still something that needs to be accomplished. But I am aware that in other parts of the world things aren't so good, and that more needs to be done to give women equal rights in other parts of the world, especially places where they are still treated like second class citizens. But I still think it's highly unlikely that the USA will ever become like The Handmaid's Tale. If anything, I think it's the other way around, we're becoming more and more like Animal Farm, or 1984, or The Crucible, or Fahrenheit 451 every day. __________________

Hey Alex Of course, it's great that abortion is still legal in the US but, as I'm sure you know, 6 states have passed abortion bans and 10 are looking to pass heartbeat bills. Of course, these numbers may be outdated as I don't really keep up with US news all too much. I just think this is definitely a step in a wrong and dangerous direction and while it's unlikely that the exact scenario of The Handmaid's Tale will be achieved, it's quite possible that a lot of the details mentioned in the story are actually happening right now (both in the US and elsewhere) and might come to happen in the future. I am however curious as to see why you think Fahrenheit 451 is more likely, as far as I'm aware, there's no book burning/restrictions to knowledge happening at the moment.
On a less social note and a more personal note I'm now enjoying a much needed actual vacation in Switzerland __________________
