Probably Grams was hoping for once Bonnie actually put herself first.

If Bonnie did, she wouldn't have been in the Prison World as long as she was there.

That is very true but I wonder if she would have figured it out all by herself or if Kai would have to show up to explain everything to her.

It seems like Kai had to explain everything to her for her to really get it!
If only Bonnie had found out about Kai's past after she escaped that would have been great.

Probably she's watching over Bonnie but now she can't do anything to help her.

Sadly it would've happened if Grams was around or not... I'll never understand Bonnie's motivation from not moving far away and starting a new life away from all the vamps and everything.

I think after the season 6 finale, she should've moved on and finally really lived her life.
