Emily Thorne is the newest arrival in the Hamptons this summer. By all appearances, she’s a friendly and sophisticated “girl next door,” whose disarming charm and generosity allows her seamless access to the restricted circles of Hamptons high society. But the affluent, exclusive world she’s immersed herself in is tied to a dark family history and Emily Thorne is anything but what she seems. As a nine year old girl, Emily’s father was framed for a horrific crime by the friends and coworkers he trusted and sentenced to a life in prison. Emily never saw her father again and spent her childhood consumed by rage, loss, and betrayal. Now 17 years later, Emily has returned under an assumed identity with one endgame—REVENGE, every social overture a carefully planned chip at the foundation of her sworn enemies, until their lives come crashing down around them. Emily’s goal is unwavering and her sharp mind is always five steps ahead, but when her past begins to catch up, her true heart may get caught in the crossfire.

Emily VanCamp first won over audiences on the WB’s critically acclaimed drama “Everwood,” starring opposite Treat Williams and Gregory Smith. More recently she starred in the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie, “Beyond the Blackboard,” based on the book Nobody Don’t Love Nobody by Stacey Bess.

VanCamp previously starred on ABC’s acclaimed hit drama series “Brothers & Sisters,” opposite Sally Field, Rachel Griffiths, Rob Lowe and Calista Flockhart. She was the female lead in the ABC miniseries “Ben Hur,” as Esther, a strong, the love interest of Ben Hur and daughter of slave Simonides. The four-hour miniseries aired in Canada, and will air in the United States later this year.

In 2009 VanCamp starred in the thriller film Carriers, opposite Chris Pine, Piper Perabo and Christopher Meloni. Other recent film credits include The Ring 2, co-starring with Naomi Watts and Simon Baker, the Sundance Film Festival hit Lost and Delirious, A Different Loyalty, with Sharon Stone, and Black Irish, with Melissa Leo, Michael Angarano and Brendan Gleeson. VanCamp also portrayed young Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the miniseries Jackie O: A Life Story, and was a series regular on the WB series Glory Days.

Born and raised in Port Perry, Ontario, VanCamp has been performing as a dancer since the young age of three. At 12, she attended the prestigious L’École Supérieure de Danse du Québec, the official training program of Les Grands Ballet Canadiens.

VanCamp currently resides in Los Angeles.

Thank you for the new thread, just typing in something to make sure not to miss it.

This week episode 14, and next week the all changing episode 15. That's gonna be an exciting week for us Emily fans and Emily herself as well. Great to see so many Emily fans on this list.

I had to start it in time for tonight`s episode.

Speaking of tonight`s episode, it was been very explosive, especially in the last segment. I`ll go more into detail about Emily`s part in it later on.

Also it was great to see a lot of people on the fan list, although i like to see a lot of them return here soon.

We got some more great stuff with Emily in tonight`s episode.

Emily really had a hard time keeping things under control in the wake of Jack`s attack. She tried very hard to handle the tape situation while keeping up appearances with the Graysons. I`m very pleased that we got some background on her and Daniel`s first meeting a while back.

Unfortunately the tape situation came home to roost as Jack confronted Victoria on abandoning Amanda when she had no one to turn to, which led to Charlotte learning about her true paternity. The look on Emily`s face during the revelation spoke volumes. She felt so bad for her sister and wanted to go comfort her.

Then later on, Emily arrived home to find her special box was missing from the secret hiding place, which ended the episode.

I think that the general theme of tonight`s episode with Emily was her feeling helpless with things going out of control beyond her control with Jack watching the tape, Charlotte learning the truth and then her special box stolen. Now she will have to rely on her instincts more than ever.

Lastly Emily looked very stunningly beautiful in tonight`s episode, especially in the photo shoot scene.

She’s a master of disguise! She went brunette in juvie to hide her identity, and now in these pictures she looks like another Amanda – Amanda Seyfried playing as Needy in Jennifer’s Body.

I agree. Things are going beyond her control so she is on her own like the Japanese entrepreneur's last word for her, and this is what this corresponds with the topic: Perception!

Hah! When Emily appeared with this disguise in the flashback, she was like Amy Abbott.

She even talked totally different, still I wonder why she took the risk in even talking to Daniel some years/months before they met for his first time. I also liked here that Emily thought of something completely different when she was asked to remember the first time they met.

And I of course agree: The topic "Perception" or better clouded perception was very interesting for us. It's hard to see clear now with all these different things going on. Emily is struggling, she's trying not to make mistakes but Nolan knows better at the moment, he worries about Jack and Charlotte - Emily didn't. True, and things didn't work the way she had planned. Amanda turned against her, she will then lose Jack, lost Nolan to Jack, Charlotte found out about her real father though Emily didn't want to drop the bomb, now the situation has changed dramatically and Emily is now going to marry into that family - how will she even be able to revenge her step-parents? Will be very interesting.

I have to say I was kinda shocked that Daniel and Emily met once. But she really was like the ugly duckling and now is the beautiful swan.. so no wonder he doesn't recognize her.

I`m also surprised that Emily met Daniel a while back. It was obvious that she used that first meeting to gauge Daniel so that she can find a way to get close to the Graysons.

As for her look in the flashback scene, it was definitely very Amy Abbott. It was nice to see Emily going back to her roots a bit there.

Lastly i think that everything that Satsu told Emily is finally coming home to roost for her. Still i hope that she`ll find a way to get back on the right track.

Don't know about you guys but I had my problems with the "teenage" Emily Thorne flashbacks. The ones with the young actress doing a great job (as she did in this episode, the tape scene) playing young Emily, the teenage Emily felt a bit forced, with this ridiculous black hair wig and so on. But the scene with Daniel was great, I hope we get more insight about Emily's preparation, what she did before she came to the Hamptons. So she wasn't surprised at all to see Daniel and that she spilled her drink on him was no accident. Give us a flashback episode, that'd be great! Cos Emily did like not sure 8 years (after she was released from jail she was 18 - now she's 26) of research but it seems she didn't do it too well cos she's struggling very hard.

Okay, to be fair, she didn't calculate with Amanda appearing, Charlotte being her sister, Jack getting hurt.

Hm, after the ending of episode 13, Emily's look meant "it's on", but now? Since Victoria had to give up the horrible rape lie and Charlotte found out about her real father, Emily can relax a bit now. Yeah, Satoshi (do you mean Satoshi oder who is Satsu?

) told her not to fall in love with Daniel, but Emily did not only do that she is going to marry Daniel.

I meant Satoshi. I forgot how to spell his name. I saw that he`s going to be in next week`s episode. Hopefully we`ll get to see him give Emily some wisdom to help her in these very trying times.

Also i don`t think that Emily`s going to relax at all, especially after what happened with the Infinity Box. If anything, i think that she`s going to have her guard up even more.

Great, honestly I didn't see Satoshi return to Revenge at all. Looking forward to that. Sorry, forgot about the stolen box, that will keep Emily very busy, no time for relaxing at all.

I think next week's episode will be a big one if they don't screw it up.

I`m sure Satoshi`s return will likely be in a flashback scene, but i hope that he`ll return to give Emily some more of his wisdom in her time of need.

Also i highly doubt that TPTB will screw up the next episode, which i think will have a twist or two involving Emily.
