Not sure what ABC!Family's standards are. The overall viewership is the 2.7 million, I believe, but the demographic is lower than that. Not sure how to compute the total demo though, since they broke it down into a couple different female age brackets.

SAB has actually done very well in the ratings, according to Abc Fam standards. When it premiered in the summer, it had the highest rating ever of a show to debut. Before that, Secret Life had the highest rating for Abc Fam when it came in with 2.8 million when it first premiered. Before that was Kyle XY.

I think it's very safe for now. If you wiki all the ABC Family shows you'll get a better idea. It's also who they're going for in terms of the demographic. They were the number 1 for females 18-34.

We'll probably have to wait and see how it does up against GG, which is also in the Tuesday 8 p.m. time slot and hasn't returned from its mid-season hiatus. But Abc Fam shows have beat out CW shows before. I think the fact that they got a 32 order first season is evident of the great faith the network as put in them.

SAB is up against 90210 on the CW at this time slot (GG is on Mondays at 8). I don't know anything about that show's time slot to see how viable it is as a contender, but I think SAB has more competition since it is against Glee on Fox at the same time.

I do think SAB is probably one of the highest rated if not highest rated shows on ABCFam. It gets good ratings for the network and unlike most teen shows, there is a more family appeal which is good for the female 18-34 and up demo which it holds so well.

This is definatelyyyyy good ratings for ABCfamily, the only show that's getting higher ratings is PLL, and not even by much tbh

Np! Since ABCfam isn't a major network, it has different standards for what is a good rating. TSLOTAT, PLL, and S@B are the big hits of the network.

Also, S@B does have tough competition but it doesn't seem to be affecting the numbers too much. Hopefully the numbers stay up!

Yes. Some people seem concerned because the ratings weren't in the 3 million instead of the 2's, but it's stayed consistent and that's good. Summer is also an easier time slot because many of the network shows are on hiatus. And it was on Mondays with TSLOTAT as a lead in. Winter is more difficult because you're getting the shows coming back, plus mid-season ones start debuting as well. And it was on a new night.

But I think even PLL's ratings dropped.

I still think for Abc Fam it's good numbers. Unfortunately ratings are difficult to interpret and break down, and honestly the way they do it is so outdated. The numbers only grew as the season progressed, so hopefully it will happen this time around too!

Yeah tbh the only way the show won't get renewed is if it really tanks in ratings, and I can't see that happening. Hopefully it stays up!
