SAB has actually done very well in the ratings, according to Abc Fam standards. When it premiered in the summer, it had the highest rating ever of a show to debut. Before that, Secret Life had the highest rating for Abc Fam when it came in with 2.8 million when it first premiered. Before that was Kyle XY.
I think it's very safe for now. If you wiki all the ABC Family shows you'll get a better idea. It's also who they're going for in terms of the demographic. They were the number 1 for females 18-34.
We'll probably have to wait and see how it does up against GG, which is also in the Tuesday 8 p.m. time slot and hasn't returned from its mid-season hiatus. But Abc Fam shows have beat out CW shows before. I think the fact that they got a 32 order first season is evident of the great faith the network as put in them.
