I do too.
I felt bad for him. I so knew he got into a fight with Travis because he was frustrated and scared before he admitted it. Please add me to the list if you are making one! __________________

I liked him, I thought what he said to Travis was uncalled for but he's just scared and angry about losing his hearing. Does he remind anyone else of Randy Wayne, (Justin), from the Lying Game?

I agree it was uncalled for even if I understood why he got into it with Travis.
Sorry don't watch that one. __________________

I would like to be added.
I do agree that his remark about about Travis's voice was completely out of line and uncalled for. However I do get that he was terrified because knowing you're going to go deaf and actually starting to go deaf are two very different things. In that moment his worst fears were coming true and he lashed out he wanted to be angry and he came after Travis knowing full well he was asking for that fight. I also think that fight was long time coming the tension btwn the hearing and non hearing kids has been building for a while I guess I just thought it would be Bay and Natalie getting into it like that.I also noticed how that when Travis told him he wasn't trying hard enough when it came to his signing that really hit a nerve with him. I could understand why that did hit him hard cause to Noah this isn't some hobby or just him trying to learn to sign cause he wants to he knows that this will be his life having to sign not being to hear anything or anyone so naturally he has been trying so for him to hear that he's not trying hard enough well I'm thinking that was the straw that broke the camel's back. What I would love was to see him try to apologize for his comments to Travis and maybe vice versa then it would be nice to see them try to form a friendship since him being friends with Emmett seems pretty unlikely for obvious reasons. |

Yeah, Noah was out of line with his remarks about Travis's voice. He was asking for that fight but I also understand he was scared and pissed off. I wish he'd actually confide what was going on with him other than just Bay. I'd hope he'd apologize to Travis about his comments but with how angry Travis and this deaf/hearing fight coming up, I don't see it happening. I thought it was nice that Emmett tried to pick up that fight and pulled Noah back.. I think it'd be nice to see Emmett and Noah be friends but you're right, that's not happening, not anytime soon. |

Agree with all of this. Quote:
It was good of Emmett to help stop the fight. __________________

I like Noah. His comment was uncalled for absolutely, but I get his frustration. It's not just about his own illness, but Bay and Noah have been trying and (at least Natalie has stopped picking on Bay) it feels like people are still ragging on them. Bay was able to get her frustrations out in a much more constructive way when she flat out said "Because all hearing people are the same, right? We're all out to get you."
Noah wasn't in the right frame of mind to calm himself down enough to say something like that, which was that he was tired of being called out on something he has nothing to do with. He is trying to learn ASL. But the seal comment went too far. |

I'm going to cut Noah some slack with that fight, I know he was asking for it but he's also going through a life altering change and he was scared.

Based on the little bit I've seen of Noah he doesn't seem like a mean spirited character he seems like someone who is going through something life changing and is scared. He started to lose his hearing and even though he knew it was coming I can't imagine how terrified he was to actually experience it so I defintely can cut him some slack for what happened.

I don't think either guy was necessarily the "good" guy or the "bad" guy. Were Noah's comments inappropriate? Sure. But so was Travis' "Well, the music doesn't bother me," shrugging off.
It might have been better if it had come from Bay instead because a) it was HER party and b) Travis and Bay have sort of a friendship. But I agree that at times it feels like the hearing kids aren't doing enough. It's very much an us vs them scenario. |
