I liked Scuba too. I don't know why he took advantage of Daphne, but he was wrong in doing so. I don't blame Chef for firing him though. It would have been interesting to see him on the show more.

Yup, and it was essentially pointless because Daphne/Jeff were mainly a plot device themselves, in order to create some drama for Daphne.

 Exactly, it was pointless! Her friendship with Scuba could have been one that lasted, but Jeff was clearly never meant for the long-run. Not to mention, Jeff and Daphne were already together at that point, so they were really just getting rid of the competition!__________________

I don't really get it. I hate when they bring on good characters to create drama and make them out to be the scapegoat and then let characters who well outlast their welcome last forever.
