I had always been aware of the SleepingWarrior ship but often times I found myself going back and forth only because I am totally old school (as in ie shipping Mulan with Shang) but that fn' scene last night totally broke my heart .

^Yeah. I go back and forth too, but I wouldn't mind if they did get together, but that definitely broke my heart too. I really hope Mulan finds loves in the future.

This pairing probably won't ever be realized on-screen, but, like the Severus/Lily pairing from Harry Potter, it's still been officially Canonized, which is neat and something that I think every 'shipper' should feel proud of.

I said this elsewhere, but that scene last night ended up in a place entirely different from where it was supposed to have because of Aurora's news, as Mulan wasn't even going to join Robin's band (she turned him down) until Aurora dropped her pregnancy bombshell, and the way Jaime Chung played the scene spoke volumes without her actually saying much.

The show is going to lose a phenomenal actress once this story arc of hers ends and she goes off to fulfil her commitment to the other show she's on, which is sad, but it's going to be a fun ride seeing where the writers take her character while she's still available to them.

That's what I love about OUAT. We all see what we want to see. There is no black and white therefore no "right way" to see things.

Whether they intended it to be that way or not doesn't matter.

While I'm happy Mulan was willing to put her heart out there, it seemed like such a punch in the face to the Sleeping Warrior shippers. Honestly, their pairing is now unrequinted, with one side married with a baby on the way, and Mulan is leaving the show.

With as much fan's shouting for a gay or bi character, mostly in regards to Emma/Regina, the writers make one only to prompty ruin the chances of the pairing and send the character away.
