Merry Christmas and enjoy some mid-season new shows when they premiere in January!

Merry Christmas everyone.

It would be cool if they did a themed episode some time.

Mary Margaret: First of all, there's nothing to get over. And second of all: just one-night-stand.
Emma: Not according to those flowers.
Mary Margaret: Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have called him.
Emma: Oh my God. You called him? That's definitely not a one-night-stand.
Mary Margaret: O-Okay, I'm still learning. I- I never had one before. I felt guilty.
Emma: Why? There's nothing wrong with what you did. Trust me. One nighters is as far as I ever go.
Mary Margaret: That's because you're-
Emma: Because I'm what?
Mary Margaret: Never mind.
Emma: Yeah. Tell me. What do I do?
Mary Margaret: You're just protecting yourself. With that wall you put up.
Emma: Just because I don't get emotional with a man.

She probably had the odd one night stand now and then over the years.

Merry Christmas!

There was a scene in season 1 where Emma talked about a married man to Mary Margaret, I wonder if the writers will go back to that in the future. I don't know what episode that was through.

Ron_Beckett 12-24-2013 03:55 PM

Why would it not be realistic for Emma to be celebate for 11 years? Realistically it is possible but from what we know of Emma she has had one night stands and the like.

Therein Emma wasn't being clear by her opinion on one-night-stands. She didn't say "One-night-stands were as far as I ever went." It could be her dealing with men who sought for one-night-stands with her, or just a statement of her limit. She didn't get emotional with a man because every man she'd ever known after Neal didn't get emotional with her. They were one nighters who only wanted one-night-stands. They didn't have plans of in a long-term relationship even if Emma had.

It's not the most rational/realistic thing I've ever heard of for a young, attractive, sexually active woman to choose 11 years of celibacy without any sort of sexual trauma. At least not in this century...

I_Love_Siobhan_Magnus 12-24-2013 09:55 PM

She of all people should've known the consequence of an intercourse She said her trauma taught her to never trust anyone, which, I think, must've included some one nighters whom she asked to put a condom on. She wouldn't be incentivized to do so if there was nothing but pleasure for her.

The point is, celibacy is not realistic for an average young adult in 20s, but it is for Emma. She'd rather be celibate than having sex with strangers who don't know her and don't want to know her. It's not safe.

CityGal 12-25-2013 12:38 AM

No..can't...not really reading this...right?! :jaw_drop:

I_Love_Siobhan_Magnus 12-25-2013 12:47 AM

Look, Emma is NOT Regina. I can't belittle her like that. I can't imagine her fxcking a random jerk whom she met at a bar or a party and waking up at the next morning as good as new. I don't watch Once Upon a Time for that kind of ****.

CityGal 12-25-2013 01:18 AM

You need to STOP, because the more you write the worst it reads.

I'm going to chalk it up to perhaps English isn't your first language and your vocabulary is severly lacking, and clearly, you're expressing yourself poorly.

Cause I couldn't deal if it was anything else....

I_Love_Siobhan_Magnus 12-25-2013 02:56 AM

There's no need for any big words to explain the truth. Remember the dude in pilot? The one who fell into Emma's trap in the resturant? That's the kind of one nighter that Emma was referring to. You really think she slept with that kind of men once in a while?

It may not be realistic but it does happen to some people sometimes.

I_Love_Siobhan_Magnus 12-25-2013 07:13 AM

Yeah, some people including Emma with traumatic experience.
