Such a great episode for Charming. Love his happy beginning on the farm with Snow, Neal and Wilby.
Those are both great gifsets. Charming doesn't get enough recognition for not only his own optimism but how much he helps Snow maintain hers. |

Love how he gets his happy ending- not being a prince or a king or a great knight but a farmer
He gets the life he loved in the Enchanted Forest with the modern twist  He passed on the badge to Killian his son in law <3 I mean let's face, David will always fight the good fight. He always jump to defend Storybrooke and her people, and his family and friends if need arises But for right now, after six years, David can put down the badge, the gun, the sword, and finally, finally, rest. __________________

I like that it shows that he no longer feels like he needs to prove that he's different from his brother or his father. His character growth has been phenomenal as illustrated that he wasn't throwing himself into the suicide mission without a thought. He went with Hook to help him but he made him slow down amd think about it rationally first. Such a big step for him once he let go of the anger he felt towards his father "giving up".

The addition of Wilby made the ending even better. I headcanon that Wilby has been there on that farm the entire curse and Charming reunited with him as soon as they went househunting.
