Tonights epi totally reminded me of “LadyHawke” , where the maiden is a hawk by day and a woman by night and the knight is a wolf by night and a man by day. I forget how it got resolved? I remember Matthew Broderick was hilarious and charming; I’m guessing they killed the sorcerer to break the spell? its been awhile, I just remember the 80s music in that movie totally didn’t belong LOL. Anyway, I like this, nice twist! Finally a Snow/Charming adventure! I wonder if they can meet in the fire room since they’ve both been in sleeping curses before and compare notes to figure out how to solve this.

Sad where they took RumBelle, that used to be such a sweet romantic tale that I had hoped would end in his redemption and a fairytale ending; feeling pretty let down by their story

I loved all the Snowing in this episode! When they picked the sapling and it showed all their shared memories, I nearly cried. It's so good to see them getting a story again!

I hope this Regina/Gold relationship is going to be over soon. Apparently Zelena still has a thing for him too.

While I generally liked this episode, I agree about the Golden Queen stuff. Rumple and Regina have no chemistry. That was just gross. I have never seen what these women in OUAT see in Rumple, then again, I've never understood women who could overlook a man's faults because he was rich or powerful, so maybe it's an acquired taste. But Rumple/Regina is just creepy.

The other thing that really ticked me off was the younger Snow's parable about the broach she sold. Regina was in a loveless, undivorcible marriage, pining away for her dead true love, with no way out. Not valuing the gifts her captor-husband gave her, irregardless of the item's history, wasn't some grave sin. I get Snow's daddy worship at that point in her life, and Regina's evil was already well established by then, but Leopold was not some romantic hero, and Regina was not some ungrateful wretch. Regina was a prisoner in that marriage and she did what she had to in order to free herself. Snow was willfully blind to the dysfunction in her family before her father's murder. I don't blame her, as she was still a young woman who didn't know the full story, but she shouldn't have gone around talking trash about Regina like that, at least not about her unhappy marriage.

And if Snow stole Regina's broach, even if Regina didn't value it, then how is she not the thief on the wanted posters? She wasn't a murderer, but how was the thief part wrong?

I thought about the same thing! About the movie, it gets resolved when they are both, in human form, able to confront the sorcerer. It was only possible due to an eclipse, since an eclipse it's both day and night. When they both confront the sorcerer in human form, the spell is broken.

You gotta be kidding me. Regina chose to marry Snow's father. She had her chance to leave, but she didn't. She was no prisoner. She wanted power and revenge so she willingly became the queen. She had plenty of freedom to make deals with bandits to terrorise the people behind Snow's back, and to practice dark magic with Rumplestiltskin.

Snow had every right to talk trash about the woman who murdered her father, framed her for the crime, and stole her kingdom. The only thief in this story was the Evil Queen. Stealing hearts, stealing lives. Her sob story doesn't excuse her actions.

That is not how marriage works at the time. Not only in Game of Thrones. Arranged marriages where parents and future husbands did not care what the women of the time wanted where the norm and not a exception. There was no divorce and women who left their husbands anyway where outcasts or treated worse. Marriages of royals especially because they were about power, money and image too. You do not just leave a king or a queen or the heir to the throne because you notice later you made a mistake when you married them.

That makes no sense. I don't care about Game of Thrones. I watched the flashbacks that clearly showed Regina on her horse riding away from the castle, after she banished Cora. She had her chance to leave, but she chose to stay and become Queen. She chose power over freedom. No one forced her.

I told myself that I was just going to watch this season, try to enjoy it and have no opinion one way or the other. Last night's episode was good, not great. I understand it was an homage to Snowing, but I don't get the reactions to their "heart offering" from their family members. Like when snowing walked into the cemetery, why would Emma and Henry just stand there like zombies. And wouldn't Snowing want to say good-bye to them just in case their hope thing went sideways?? And it really takes me out of the episode when a person that a character loves collapses, and they stand there mutely, like Emma with Snow. They did the same thing in Season 1 when Henry collapsed after the turnover and Emma stood there and stared. It doesn't up the drama for me, it looks ridiculous.
