Gideon is a hard nut for me to crack. I couldn't tell if he was faking all his emotions in the clock tower just to get the dagger or was there some truth in there? Regardless, he learned by the end of the epi that his Dad really does love him and would sacrifice himself for him. Thats probably news to him, being that I'm sure the Black Fairy told him otherwise about his Dad. For him to hand his Dad the dagger willingly at the end told me volumes and I can't wait to see more of their relationship unfold

Yeah, his family needs to stop tricking him to get that dagger and he needs to keep it somewhere safe. Enough of that.

I don't know about Gideon either. IT's hard to tell. But he's clearly been brain washed and abused.

He's such a great dad, willing to darken his own soul to save his son's

Loved his and Gideon's scenes in this episode

And Poor Gideon! The Black Fairy really sounds like a true monster, a mother from hell

She did Rumple a favor when she abandoned him..

This is what I wish Belle would say to Gideon. "You need to chose exactly what it is you want. Do you want to save your people, even if it means you're not a hero? Saving your people is a selfless act. You get the help you need to accomplish your goals. Your people come before your pride. Or is it important to you to be a hero so that you can prove your grandmother wrong, and finally get revenge for what she did to you? Revenge is a selfish act masquerading as a noble quest. You have to chose which is the most important to you. Do you want to be happy, or do you want revenge? You can't have both."

I'm convinced they're not giving Belle one on one scenes with Gideon because she would set him right in 5 minutes.

Just like the whole reason she wasn't sent to Neverland was because Belle would have had Peter Pan in hand and a way to get back to SB within one episode.
