Maybe coz they wanted the focus to be on Charming (his dad) and Charming/Hook.. but we still get the sense/lingering of how much Snow/Charming and Emma/Hook love each other in small scenes, and talks of their future with their lady loves. Charming fearing he would never be with Snow even if they are near yet so far. Hook asking for blessing to marry Emma, and then the twist at the end.
