SDCC isn't going to have to change its name for awhile. The fan convention is staying in San Diego through 2018.

I agree. Speaking as an LA girl it's kind of laughable to me when they talk about moving Comic Con here. Yes, I could envision it taking place in downtown between the LA Convention Center, Staples Center and LA Live (a courtyard area and theater between the two venues). The biggest problem though is the LA Convention Center is a complete mess. It genuinely looks like it's falling apart inside. It has probably been decades since it was last renovated. Any event I have attended there looks bad because of how poorly the venue is kept.

Yes, nearby Anaheim has a nicer convention center but I don't think it's a big enough venue overall. Plus it's right across the street from Disneyland. The traffic would be insane between the convention and a summer weekend at the theme park.

I think unless LA makes plans to completely overhaul their convention center, Comic Con won't be moving here anytime soon.

This is still a long way out but there will be a OUAT convention coming to the UK!



We are pleased to announce we are holding an unofficial convention for OUAT fans. The event will be called Storybrooke and will take place at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel, UK. The dates are Friday 22nd April to Sunday 24th April 2016.

Our first guest will be announced soon and there be a range of guests covering all the seasons so far. The main events will take place on the weekend and there will be guest talks, photo shoots, meet & greets, autograph sessions, evening entertainment and lots of fun!

I hope the panel is posted online quickly. I refuse to wait overnight in line to get into it!
