Emma thinks he's dead, so I would at least hope they show her mourning before anything else might happens. Not just one off episode thing either.

Not even a year has past since Emma came to SB TWO SEASONS ago! So I'd say it should take her a lot more than a few episodes to get over Neal. I hope she finds him long before that actually happens.
