They sort of explained why Emma has a habit on saying I love you during life and death situation but has trouble following through
That was a wish Emma has made in passing to Aladdin that she wished sometimes she was never the savior. So basically split queen evil queen took the genie lamp and made Emma go to the wish world. Which is a twisted world by genie magic of what would happen with no curse.
