I don't know what to expect from Emma. My initial thought is that she'll freeze when she sees him and then compose herself either then getting angry or being rational.

I so can't wait to find out what she does. Feels like we've been waiting for her reaction forever!

I think she'll be flummoxed and dumbfounded when she finally gets him in her sight in New York. That would be the moment that she's been waiting for over a decade, but it comes kind of abrupt without much time for her to clean up her mind and prepare a speech or other sort of repartee. After all, she's been avoiding that topic and trying hard to seal that memory since her first day -- technically, first night -- in Storybrooke. Before that, the content of her job was to find missing people. Did she get engaged in that occupation because it may bring her closer to her birth parents? Not really. It seemed like she was carefree without any burden or concern on her mind. The change of her life came after her broken love affair. "We always find each other", as a spirit also a pursuit, was what she inherited from her family, but maybe, Neal -- with his explanation for all of the seemingly hellish betrayal -- was the real target she actually aimed at.

I always believed that Emma was always searching for both: her parents and for Neal.

I mean if she wasn't she wouldn't have spent 2 years in Tallahassee. That was the place she and Neal had planned and so she spent two years there. She could've spent a lot less but she didn't. She waited, searched, lived there in hopes he would show up and when she didn't she looked elsewhere.

I agree with Ron. I think Emma was looking for her parents and Neal. Why else would she go to Tallahassee?
