Emma is happy with her parents and Henry. She loves them most of all. She fights to keep them safe. One could even argue that losing Neal has made her more protective of her loved ones.
She almost gave up her magic because she didn't want to hurt any of them. And she became the dark one to save everyone. Sometimes being a hero means making the difficult choice for the good of all. And Emma does the right thing. So that's another parallel you could make for ST. How they're both willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. __________________

Sometimes I wish Neal had been a little bit more selfish. He'd probably still be alive if he had been, but at the same time I'm glad that he stayed true to himself. I wouldn't have wanted him to act OOC.
