That's what I wonder as well, probably a few months? Emma was seventeen when she met Neal so it couldn't be a long time they've spend together. Probably the happiest time of each other's life, why does it always have to be so short?

My guess is a few months to a year.

Sometimes with relationships you don't have to know each other a person long enough to fall in love. I mean just look at Snow and Charming, it was love at first sight for them.

Still, I doubt it was love-at-first-sight with Neal and Emma, rather than compassion-at-first-sight, because they were in exactly the same situation, stealing and having no one that cares about you.

Even so I'm sure it blossomed into love very quickly. But that's just how I do imagine it to be.

I think Neal and Emma were together for four to five months is my guess maybe a little longer.

Cinammon, I agree too. Though I don't think it was love at first sight for them I do believe that in a short amount of time they did come to love each other.

Spending all their time with each other and only each other definitely helped them fall fast.
