i thought the same thing. Wouldn't be surprised if he was behind the promotion. Perhaps Alice telling him about Henry was the same catalyst as the name Emma was.

This scene is when I became convinced that Rumple has his memories. I wonder what's his goal? To try and make Henry believe in the curse/magic, like with Emma in S1?

I think it's meant to be amigious whether or not he's awake - make people wonder for a while. I'm sure we'll get more definite clues down the line, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's left ambigious for a while.

Rumple never had his memories during the first Curse, and there's no reason that I can see for why this time would be different.
