Sometimes i liked those scenes in S3 when they were trying to be "friends" but it was clear to us that they were never going to be that.

Me too, especially as we had several eps with them not interacting at all. I'd take the 'friends' scenes

yeah, exactly. What i didn't like was they had those scenes where they were trying to be friends with each other , badly maybe, but still trying, and then all a sudden ZW scenes were non existent, and then when we got them again, they were starting to realize their love for each other again. Maybe it was purposely done, but i feel like it was out of nowhere when we got the scenes in 3x20-3x22.

It was badly executed writing at work. They wanted to wait til the end of the season to bring them back together romantically but had no idea how to handle their relationship in the meantime.

They did, and it seemed like they were going in a good direction in the first half of the season with all their interactions with awkwardness because that struggle and awkwardness between ZW was to be expected, but then things took a turn.

Yeah, i did too. And it wasn't like we needed them to be happy all the time. We needed to see that angst. One of my favorite scenes is in 3x09 when they finally let everything out when they were talking about Vivian. Because at the end of the day, it wasn't about Vivian at all.

They really weren't, it was obvious that Zoe was still holding onto what had happened between them
