in a way, I think when Wade cheated on Zoe, even though Lavon didn't say that it affected their friendship, it might have in a way. I am just disappointed that they didn't talk more about it in that moment. They really could have had a more in depth serious conversation especially when Wade and Zoe had that one night stand before Wade went to declare his love to her. He was beating himself up about what happened. He confided in Lemon more when it came to that. Do you think that it anything Zoe related he didn't because he knew that Lavon and Zoe were best friends?

I don't know, because not long after that, Zoe left for months & they didn't know if she was ever coming back. That would have been a really good time to repair their friendship...

yeah, it would have been. Because we obviously found out that he was pretty heartbroken when Zoe sent all the emails saying she wasn't coming back to BlueBell. Lavon could have been there for Wade during that. But I am thinking that Lavon wasn't there for him, and Wade didn't actually talk to him about anything related to Zoe because we know that Lemon said that she was the only one who knew how badly it was for him when he got the email saying she was staying in New York.

Lavon was probably too into his own love life for Wade to be able to seek him out for comfort/conversation. Glad he did have Lemon!

Yeah, that is so true but I feel like he could have helped him through some of the hurt that he was enduring. Unless Wade was hiding the fact that he was hurt and it was Lemon who ended up seeing right through it all. We saw that early on. Lemon was great at seeing through what he was ACTUALLY feeling. She had a gift. Wade could have been hiding everything and it could have been that Lavon didn't even realize.

I'm sure that Wade did try to put on an act & cover up what he was going through - but Lavon used to be so good at seeing through all that back in s1

We did find out in 3x01 that Lemon was the only one that knew that Wade told Zoe that he loved her so I am thinking that maybe before Zoe came back to town, Lavon didn't know much. But I am sure once Zoe was back in BlueBell, I have no doubt that she told Lavon what he said before she was in NY. But like you said, I don't see how Lavon didn't pick up on the way he was acting because Lavon picked up on the fact that Wade liked Zoe in season 1 so quickly. You would think that he would pick up on his love for her, or his heartbreak for her Right?

I would! It just didn't make sense to me, the writers just obviously gave up on their friendship for whatever reason

Yeah. They shouldn't have ignored it. There seemed to be so much opportunity to have Lavon and Wade talk about stuff in season 3, but they chose not to. The one thing I always liked about season 1 when Wade was basically pining over Zoe, was that Lavon would always talk to him about it and point out things to him that he may not have realized himself.

They had a lot of great stuff in s1, they were one of my fave things about the show, I really mised that later on

YEAH, I think there could have been a lot of great things between them in season 3 especially because as we know Lavon seemed to have a good tell on what Wade was thinking or feeling when it came to Zoe.

yeah, it would have been. But it definitely just seemed like Lavon was completely unaware of anything that Wade was going through in season 3 which I hated.
