once I read that the eye of a hurricane is a relatively "calm"...I don't remember why, though

I just checked the map and it looks like it passed just 15 miles south of us. I also don't know why the eye is calmer but it is.

Tracie, I saw what Sandy did to some areas on the East Coast, and it's terrible
I am glad you were lucky though, I hope the worst is over now. Catia, thank you so much I love the pumpkin I had a great day so far, busy, but great. I got my first presents at work, a beautiful necklace from my dear friend (who is also my colleague, the one who's going on maternity leave soon) and a wonderful card from her. It touched me very much.  And then so many sweet things from my family this afternoon  My sister wrote me the best card ever, I love her In an hour I'll meet up with my friends and we're heading off to the Bowling Center  Afterwards it's party at my place I'll be back and posting tomorrow Happy Halloween everyone! __________________

Oh yum, pizza!  That is always good!Went to the cinema last night and had some idiots sitting behind us who commented everything that happened in the movie… and not in a low voice! These guys were total jerks. I bet they were just scared of the movie and had to play extra cool so no one would notice….  Anyway, I needed some time tonight to sleep well with all the scary pics in my mind  Tonight I’m having Asian together with friends  __________________

I'm an easy person to scare; every time I watch Jaws I have this dream where a shark comes out of nowhere and eats my legs. (oh and the shark is my favorite animal) How lame is that? And how weird am I?
 yesterday I ate a very tasteful pizza (with sun dried fried peppers, spicy sausage and mushrooms) and now I'm thirstier than a camel in the Sahara... Jess I am getting hooked on once upon a time…few days ago I saw a black cloud in the sky and I thought to myself:"the curse! it's here!" (just kidding  )Have a nice weekend! Any plans? __________________
