Actually, if you read the latest stuff about bubble shows and the comments, most people seem to think that hod will be renewed. i don't care whether they like it; I care more that they judge the numbers are in our favour for the minute.

The thing to watch out for I think is B&TB, which I think comes back on this week. This season they won't have their premier numbers counting in the overall weighting. It'll be interesting to see if it then falls below HoD on the index.

I'm still not too concerned about BatB unless it comes back with an increase in ratings. They are losing over 1/2 of the TVD audience. And the CW is more than likely going to put The Originals behind TVD next season. They don't know if BatB can stand on its own yet. HoD is proven to stand on its own even if the ratings are small. It increased upon its lead in last season and this season it starts off. So people are tuning in to watch HoD specifically. The CW may want to stick with something they know they can count on for steady ratings. All of the shows they've tried in the past 2 seasons the only hit has been Arrow. They can always move HoD to Fridays as well.

Yep, but I'll feel better when I know that PCA award really was a few uber-devoted fans repeatedly pressing the 'vote' button on their computer! If they come back steady or down, I'll breathe a sigh of relief. I don't want to see them go up.

But I get you with the lead in stuff. Unless CW are piloting a lot next year, or have another Arrow-style hit with Cult (when does that start?), I am optimistic about HoD.

Cult doesn't start until sometime in February. I doubt it is going to be a hit. It is a hard show to follow from the reviews. Also it isn't getting the promo that TCD got and it got stuck in the "death spot".

I'm not too worried about BatB returning strong. They never made up the numbers even in DVR views. Unless they found new fans the numbers should be about the same.

Doesn't Cult have Matt Davies in? There'll be some TVDers who will tune in for that alone. i know very little about it, but I also think he can act, and so would probably take a look at it if i were in the US, though the premise seems a bit weird. But then, 'Ernest O reilly' is absolutely bonkers, so it's no surprise really.

I had forgotten about the Originals pilot. If they get Daniel Gilles on board swell as JoMo, that could finally pick up some of the TVD lead in and run with it.

Though, lordy, when will the world ever tire of vampires and supernatural shows?

I actually hope the fact that HoD isn't a genre show helps it. The CW just can't go to all genre shows. I mean they could but then they'd be over saturated. I know I can only watch so many fantasy/comic book/supernatural shows before I get sick of them.

The first half of S1 was better. They are stable with the 2nd half of S1. So that is good. Not great ratings no, but middle of the pack for the CW.
