You have a point there - that scene was so stupid though, like he expected Wade to tell him instead of his actual daughter, Lemon?! I think the writers were inconsistent with Brick sometimes, they changed his character whenever they felt like it

That's not what I was talking about. He was very much of the thinking Wade wasn't good enough for Lemon.

No, I get that, I was just saying that sometimes they made Brick super judgmental like we saw in that scene, & sometimes we saw him as the caring doctor who empathized with others & looked out for them - even though it was tough love sometimes.

I think it just depended on whatever storyline the writers were trying to make happen....like with the scene where he was being judgmental with Wade, it was only so that the writers could get him to push Carter towards Lemon

I think so too, I'd like to think he was closer to Wade by the time the show ended, they had that fishing trip in 4x08 after all

Not really, I think they had a nice build up & took a long time to grow closer - plus, even when they got closer they still bickered, so it never felt like they were suddenly acting all fluffy together
