Centered right in the heart of New York City, Greenwich Village, studying at New York University does not just pit you in the hands of the school, but of the entire city itself.

Students of New York University don’t just prepare for life during their four year stay, they embark on a new life the second they step foot on the expansive campus. Vibrant and lively, NYU is constantly changing, constantly evolving, and naturally it encourages its students to do the same. Consisting of a total of fourteen colleges and Universities, NYU offers something for everyone and it’s wide variety of educational majors draws in people from all over the world.

While our story centers around the students involved vigorously in their studies at NYU, it’s main focus is their lives, and how both the school and the city weave their ways in and out of their lives. When you live in the city that never sleeps and you study at one of the finest and most reputable of institutions in the world, life never stands still, and more importantly, the people never stand still.

This story is about the relationships and the connections formed during college. It’s about the keg parties and the sororities. It’s about the classes and the professors. It’s about friends, and lovers, and adversaries. It’s about the ups and the downs, the heartaches, the challenges, and the changes. It’s about the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, the mistakes and the opportune chances sometimes taken and sometimes not.

Most importantly, it’s about life, and the choices that come with it.

Additional Information:
The inspiration behind this game was always to bring back characters from previous games that have gone defunct that we enjoyed playing in the past. People are not limited to bringing back old characters, so if anyone wants to create brand spankin' new characters, feel free to do so. This is also a bit of a sandbox game. I won't necessarily be organizing "events" for all characters to attend. Any events I suggest in the first post will be entirely optional as the whole city is pretty much at our disposal.

Rules:
- I won't enforce a boy/girl rule unless I notice we are getting a larger ratio of one over the other.
- This is a mature game. Mature things will happen (Yes, I borrowed that from Mandy!)
- Death happens in life. If you feel like abandoning a character, let us know and we may be able to arrange something fantastically tragic to happen to them.

- Graduated high school school in small town Ohio (just barely) and moved out to NYC on the suggestion of his next door neighbor, Emmy, class valedictorian and the girl he'd always had a thing for. She got a scholarship to NYU and he decided to follow her...only trouble was she never showed up. She got engaged to her high school boyfriend and stayed in small town USA. Fitz stayed in New York.

-Helped her mother run her New Age store until she moved to New York on her own at the age of 19. She took a while off school and started working for a literary magazine in New York, before going to NYU.
-Fell in love with a guy in high school who had a bad reputation and although he kept trying to get her in bed with him, she wouldn't sleep with him without a commitment of some kind, which he would never give.
- Has been writing since she was a pre-teen and her dad died, her ideal job would be to work at a publishing company.
-Before her dad died, her mom was for a span of two years, hooked on prescripition drugs - some of which were prescribed to her father who was dying of cancer.
- Since she spent a portion of her growing up years, taking care of her parents instead of being taken care of - she is very maternal to people who are younger than her, or who need someone stable in their lives.

Most of the people I still am somewhat still in touch with have lives. Not to say we don't have lives, but they are just always busy. I've completely lost touch with some other people though which makes me sad ...

On a completely random note: all of my Players 1 characters were absolutely dreadful and I don't think I could ever bring myself to rewrite them.

I think I have Sibby and... Robs (Dimaranwen?) added on FB but I never talk to them. Sad. Wish they'd come back. Le sigh.

Guess this is another excuse to troll through all my old RPs and see if I liked any of my characters enough to bring back. In a university life setting, of course.

Sibby and Robs (Robin) are my facebook friends as well though we don't really talk either. We used to comment all the time on Live Journal back in the day too, except I haven't used my Live Journal in years.

I actually have an archive of all the Players threads and a couple of other random games I've been in on my Live Journal so I intend to go through some of my old characters as well and see if there's anyone else I'd want to bring back.

I'm telling you, you can easily fit some of your Nevado Joe characters into this game. They can either be on a "sabatical"/vacation or ... I will volunteer one of my characters to find out the hard way that supernatural creatures exist in the world.
