If you are somehow, tragically, unfamiliar with this series, it is an ABC comedy which is a 2010 Golden Globe® Winner For Best Comedy as well as being a recipient of DGA and WGA awards.

All 24 episodes of Modern Family season one are included in this release, along with a nifty bundle of never-before-seen deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes features, “couch confessions”, a gag reel and more. DVD & Blu-ray was released last September 21, 2010.

I really love how they was using their real experiences w/ their family into this show since I didn't know about it, but it was pretty awesome that they can use one of them or whatever they can up since it was interesting to learn about it..

^ Well said. I think with a show like this, you can relate to it a lot so a lot of stories must have come from personal experiences, like Fizbo was part of Eric's backstory.

^ Agree w/ you on that.. I love how they didn't went over the top, but something that you actually can relate to that part since it happen to one of your family or you went through that..

I love that I can actually watch this show with my mom. I mean, most of the other shows that I watch I don't really like watching with her.

Same here, my mother was trying to get me watch the shows she likes, I don't like it and same w/ me, but at least we like this show together..

Also, I love how everyone was surprised that they are all related to each other since I always assumed that they are close friends or something like that.. It was perfect to think that way til the end of the first episode..

Mine were "Before Modern Family", were they tell what they did before the show, what's their life like, where they studied, what were their first jobs, etc. And "Making of Family Portrait", mostly because they shot that episode on Julie's birthday and she's seen blowing the candles and thanking everyone

As soon as the season 1 blu ray arrived home I made my mom watch it with me and she loved it. And the other day she told me: yeah, the other night I was watching Modern Family with your dad... and I swear I went: wait! You saw it without me telling you to watch it??? I'm sooooo proud of you!

That's what I first thought too. That maybe some of them are family friends, co-workers.

WAAAAHHHH! I haven't bought season 1 yet. I'm waiting for season 2 and then buy both at the same time.

I would love to see this part of "Making the Family Portrait".

^ I didn't get my friends to watch it since I'm pretty sure that they know about this show since it got won emmys and others...

i feel you and I was trying to make one of my brother to watch it w/ me when he was visiting and he end up love it, but he told me that when I got dvd, so he can borrow it to watch it.. I'm glad that there are some more people who end up love it..

I sometimes watch it with my brothers too! I love that! And I told my two best friends to watch it and now they are hooked

Now I'm craving watching the extras

^ I ain't go to lie, I always do that when I really love the show, but I hate it when they have to release the second one before the third one coming back.. Ugh.. So I can watch the whole thing before the third one coming on air..
