I loved these two in the books but I'm not sure if I will in the show. From the promos Nick's character seems somewhat different.

I don't think I'm gonna read the books at this point but I love bad boys with a heart of gold. As long as he's no too bad.

He's supposed to be different on the show. In the books he lives with Laurel or Melanie, I can't remember, because she's his cousin and he's an orphan so her parents took him in. He's a little bit of a bad boy, but really it's all just a front to get people to leave him alone and he works on cars and stuff. He and Cassie have a really sweet relationship in the books too.

On the show he's supposed to be darker...I think I read something that said he's in a friends with benefits relationship with Faye and he deals drugs every now and then.

He actually lived with Deborah because that was his cousin. And can I just say how much I hate that they're making him a drug dealer and there bringing drugs into this. It sounds like they're trying to redo the TVD pilot with Jeremy selling drugs. Before that pilot aired and there was word that there was drug dealings it sounded extremely stupid and turned out to be just that. So basically what I'm saying is it was lame then and it is lame now ugh.

He's really not that much of a bad boy. He just doesn't talk much early on, so he seems mysterious.

The books are from Cassie's POV, so that's how he comes off to her.

It's weird with books to TV because it all depends on actor chemistry, storyline appeal etc...

^ Yeah, I definitely agree with that sentiment, it's so true. The actor/actress playing a role can make it or break it. The same thing can be said for romantic pairings. Throw in the writing direction on top of that and sometimes you never know what kind of 'recipe' you're going to end up with.

I have to think, though, that the writers/casting agents believed that Louis had chemistry with most of the females on the show because we know he and Phoebe have to have it, and he and Britt seem to in what little footage we've seen.

I did enjoy their scenes in the book not sure how it will be on screen im gonna wait and see
