Plus, whatever it is that was done in the past 2 years ago. According to Diana, in Wake, Jake did a lot of bad when he was in Chance Harbor and that included Adam and his dad. So Adam, is really bent against him on that but also with Cassie, deep down ever since that "Hey Neighbor" passed through Jake to Cassie, it really set Adam off. Other guys can feel when another guy likes the same girl or something like that and hence Adam and Cassie have that star connection, more obvious. And Jake is also a witch doesn't make things better either.

I think Jake and Adam could start seeing eye to eye and be ok with the other is the fact that Adam and the circle had saved Jake's life from Eben. So if next time Jake does some saving especially the next time Adam is I'm danger I think it could build their friendship.

Adam and the Circle rescued Jake from almost receiving the same fate as his own dad by that witch hunter Eben. So basically Jake's turn to owe Adam and the circle one too.
