I think these two had the most instant chemistry. For me, most of the cast grew grew in chemistry with eachother as the season progressed. Faye and Diana had instant chemistry though, it's no wonder people latched onto them during the pilot. I would have loved to have seen more from then. Even though they were never going to put them together the way most of the fanbase wanted. They still could have been awesome Buffy/Faith esque foils. I still don't get why they didn't have more of a storyline together. Why have them be so big in the pilot and have Shelley and Phoebe do a chemistry reading together, if there wasn't going to be alot of them.

Yeah, it could have gone that way. I don't usually see homoerotic subtext all that much. But, in the early episodes I honestly wondered if they were going down a gay/bi route with Faye. Some of her scenes were really subtexty. I mean so subtexty it verged on actual text.The one with Melissa in Slither and then the spin the bottle scene with Diana, I mean, what were they all about? Lol
I wonder if the writers ever actually considered going for Fayana? Or if it was just a fun fandom thing for them. Probably the latter. But, they were the only pairing that ever got quite a lot of buzz online. The CW would never have allowed it anyway. I just wish we'd had more awesome scenes like the pilot from them. |

They got more attention in the online media than all the other ships combined.
People really liked them. I think that was a surprise to the writers too, they didn't expect that to happen. |

^ WORD! they were the most talked about so yeah the writers were shocked and probably didn't really know what to do with them, especially after The CW made it clear they didn't want a lesbian/gay relationship

^ Yeah, I think that was a mistake. Why not give the fan's favourite pairing scenes together? It's not like they had to put them together romanticaly, if that's what they were so afraid of. Lots of people ship Regina and Emma (I personaly don't see that) on OUAT and even though that's never going to happen either, they still have plenty of scenes together so there's alot of subtext for fans of them. Same with Dean and Castiel on SPN.

Oh wow, I didn't know people ship them.
 But I see what you mean, those two have like most of the scenes together. I would never expect that with Fayana, just having a scene with them per episode would have been enough. |

Yeah, I don't see Regina/Emma either. But, ship and let ship. Ruby/Red and Gold/Rumple are my favourite characters on that show. Sigh, i'm going to miss Fayana and all their glorious subtext. There should have been more of them,
