I have really bad luck with sci-fi shows.

^ I can understand why you'd choose not to. They seem to have a hard time keeping an audience around for the ratings that the networks want and it doesn't matter whether the quality is good or bad. I lost both V and the Event this year but out of the two, The Event deserved another season more IMO.

I watched the first few eps of the event and I really liked it. My parents watched that one too and they were so mad when it was cancelled.
It sucks because when the event first started everyone was hyping it up so much and was so excited for it. Idk what happened.. I've never seen V though I heard it was good too. That really sucks. |

I'm back for a while, taking a break from some studying .
The Event deserved a second chance for sure, in my opinion . __________________

That sounds great! Are you the "I only get ready 10 minutes before" type? I am .

I think part of the problem for The Event was that ridiculously long 3 month hiatus. The show was pulling in some pretty good decent ratings in the beginning but they significantly dropped after the hiatus. I don't know why networks do that because it does cost viewership. Three months is alot of time for people to lose interest, forget, or grow so bored waiting that they tune into something completely different/new that is on. As for V, it's a remake off of an old series (like BSG) and the show started out with a lot of potential. But then the showrunners changed in S1 and everything started to slowly go down hill from there. S2 really turned into an embarrassment, I hate to say it but it's true. Now, the poor actors are taking the heat for it in certain nomination categories like 'Worst Character or Worst actress.' Quote:

Heather . I totally agree about the long hiatus NBC put The Event through, wha a lame decision. And V, I wish it worked out. I haven't watched season 2 yet, but that sucks for the actors.

I hate when tv shows change show runners. It usually changes the whole dynamic.
As for the Event, I agree long hiatuses make ratings suffer. Also, when shows get too complicated people usually lose interest. For example: Heroes. Good luck with moving! & I hope you have a great time on vacation. Quote:
