Cassie did have a point about using dark magic to protect the people she cares about and I have no doubt that if Diana is put in that situation, she'll protect her loved ones but she'll leave hurting someone until it's her last option. I'm glad Diana was there to reign Cassie in during the woods scene. It just seems like Cassie is too ready to kill people. Every time this girl gets angry somebody starts choking.

Diana could be a big help for her learning how to keep her feelings in check and controlling her dark magic. But that's assuming Diana herself wont go to the dark side.

Cassie probably doesn't even know how much power she actually has. She, without a doubt, could've done much worse to Ian, but luckily, Diana stopped her. I don't think Cassie would kill anyone unless she felt there was a reason to, which in that case, she thought he killed her grandmother. It's a bit hard for her to imagine that Jane's death was all Charles and her father's doing.

ITA. I get why Cassie would feel that way. I think Diana was just trying to get Cassie to think about it first. She didn't know for sure that they killed Jane. If she keeps jumping to conclusions, she might end up killing a lot of people who maybe don't deserve it and aren't responsible for what she thinks they are. I get why she's upset and I get that on some level it's hard for her to control but I'm glad that Diana was there to pull her back from it.

Diana is looking out for Cassie's best interests and that's really nice to see. Blackwell hasn't told Cassie about the fake curse he came up with to keep Adam and her apart and that he's intent on taking out the elders. Charles hasn't told Diana that he killed Amelia. I wonder what the sisters will think of their fathers when they find out.

These two will probably co-lead the circle for the most part. That will be a sight to see. According to Shelley, Diana will take on more of a leadership role with Cassie following about...50% of the time, lol.
