The triangle was really in effect tonight. I am loving it and I normally don't care for triangles.
I think it's interesting how they've really contrasted Adam/Cassie and Jake/Cassie by themes. Pivotal A/C scenes are highlighted by water/light (first spell together/light bulb + lake talk/first kiss illuminated) and pivotal J/C scenes are by fire/darkness (started a fire/saved her from 2/non-dare kiss shrouded in darkness). __________________

ITA with you on that note CrunkPunk88. Both guys' relationship with Cassie are complete polar opposites of the other,however, first kiss was with Jake, first dance was with Adam, first forming magic together with Adam (floating water), with Jake (creating that fire, at Faye's grandfather's house), Jake helping Cassie deal with her dark magic, him saving her from 2 fires, Adam first saving her from her vehicle catching on fire because of Faye.
Most definitely triangle full in effect, but Cassie hasn't chosen anyone. She's more focused on finding out more on her dad and the dark magic especially she needs to gear up to fight off the witch hunters if necessary. |

I see the parallels too. It seems to be shaping into the main triangle of the show.

I think so, Adam and Jake seem to represent two different sides to Cassie's psyche it seems Adam representing the light, good magic of herself and her destiny and Jake is the more exciting, dangerous side, her dark magic.

I could see why it would be a complicated matter for Cassie to deal with but it not so directly she's put in the middle of Jake and Adams fight not only for her affections but whatever history they had those 2 years when Jake supposed did Ethan and Adam wrong ? We all don't know the particulars of Jakes past but it seemed he wronged everyone in the circle and he bailed from it all. Now with Cassie pulled in all of this she's also trying to understand her own heritage. She came to Chance Harbor not knowing she came from a bloodline of 2 powerful witch families one from good magic and the other dark magic.

It looks like tension with everyone will be running a bit high in temperature. Things will be heating up and cooling down it seems and poor Cassie's in the middle of it from what it looks like the preview for this week's episode.
