I'm okay, but like you, I'm totally bored with this pandemic. Aww, don't cry.

Yeah, I'm tired too. I don't know if it's just from my job or if it's the coronavirus. I think I may have been asymptomatic but perhaps it's making me fatigued.

Wow, it's hot in Sweden, huh? Yes, when it's hot outside you do wanna just lie down and sleep.

I hope you're doing okay over there. I'm on my two week vacation starting tomorrow.

I hope it's not the corona virus, Alex. It can take a very long time to get rid of, and you can lose your sense of smell for like forever.

Well, most people don't get sick from it, Renee. Most people are asymptomatic, which is what I hope I am. I'm also type O+ blood, which is supposed to be resistant to the virus.

I've heard that people lose their sense of smell or taste temporarily, but not forever.

Yes, it's a staycation. I did have plans to travel, but obviously those plans got ruined by coronavirus. I'm just gonna hang out here, so no worries. I hope you're staying safe and having a good summer.

Actually, one of my friends, her name is Vasi had it back in January, but she is all better now. She told me she lost her taste sense fore few days. I am group A+, but either I am only a carrier or I've had it without noticing it.

Thanks for your pm, Alex! Decided to answer you here and include Arinna, and anyone else still around the board. Thanks for missing me and being proud of what I've accomplished I did finish school and am working full time now. Still writing and hope to have the novel completed by the end of September. It's a monster of a project, but I love it!

I'm on vacation and was just in San Francisco for a conference. I was a student in SF for 6 years and love that city. it was unusually hot the last few days we were there and was pretty shut down. No dining inside restaurants, etc, but still had fun and got to meet one of my favorite authors.

Response to the book has been more positive than I'd expected with incest being central to the story and the canon relationship. Interesting how men and women see it differently.

Both express interest, but women are more intrigued and are overwhelmingly more enthusiastic about the taboo of it. A very religious older Christian lady said she couldn't wait to read it even though I cautioned her it's an incestous love story and pretty pornographic. The psychologist in me had a field day with that.

Men assume I'm writing the book cause the story is my fantasy. I think it's because I'm a woman, cause women never make that assumption. Actors play roles that are not who they really are and writers do stories about murder and mayhem that I doubt are their own personal fantasies. The only thing about the story that appeals to me on a personal level is that if I were a man, I'd like to be someone like the protagonist. He's powerful and has it all. But I definitely wouldn't want to be his female lover. She goes through so much to be with him and women in that era (1600's) had it rough.

So that's my summer, what's everyone up to? Any projects or plans? Haven't had a chance to read posts, but did see you're on vacation, Alex

We should do a Borgias watch while on vacation! I haven't watched the show in ages and am available through the end of August. While I'm here, I'll post on the other threads and help the count, it'll be nice to see what's happening with everyone
