This is why when we were watching the BBC show, I actually wanted Cesare to kill Rodrigo as well.

Rodrigo and Lucrezia relationship is totally destroyed by the end of season 3, while things are better between Rodrigo and Cesare.

It was horrible, but actually it was pretty much normal at the time to consume the marriage in front of witnesses. Otherwise the marriage could be annulled for non-consumption. We see Lucrezia losing her virginity with Sforza in front of her dad in the Spanish movie Borgia, but it was much more 'decent' than with Alfonso in TB... In the Spanish version they are under a sheet and she doesn't have a public orgasm.
