I know, I should stop that... Toby Ziegler said one shouldn't make pop-culture references in speeches because they may be soon outdated.

I also thought it was kind of creepy with the incest idea in mind.

I didn't take it in that way.

Well I did - I generally am uncomfortable with things like this, our family is anything but touchy-feely. We don't kiss, we don't pet, we don't hug.

May I just say that I'm really uncomfortable with how much Rodrigo kisses Lucrezia on the BBC show. I mean, he's really going overboard.

I'm with you on this. I love their bond in The Borgias so far - the father/daughter bond, nothing more.

Well, there was that one scene where Jeremy Irons kissed Holliday when Rodrigo woke up and saw Lucrezia at his bed when she returned for Joffre's wedding. Thank goodness it was just that one scene.

I can understand that scene, but not the one in BBC Borgias.

No, that BBC scene was just icky. I'm a little worried about where that series is going with that.

I also heard that there is Cesare/Lucrezia action on that show as well, so we'll see how that goes. Still not crazy about Cesare's bald spot on that show.
I'd prefer to see if Rodrigo starts to notice what Vanozza is noticing on The Borgias. __________________

I don't think he's that good in the family stuff. Vanozza is more aware of what's going on in the family than Rodrigo. I also prefer the father/daughter dynamic of Rodigo/Lucrezia in The Borgias. It makes more sense to me.

Okay, so now we know where the BBC show was going. Rodrigo impregnated his own daughter, Lucrezia, and now she's in convent waiting to give birth.
I think I need to take a shower. __________________
