Now fully recovered, Alexander tasks Cardinal Sforza (Peter Sullivan) with instigating an “inquisition” among the Cardinals who were politicking against him when his life lay in the balance. With the “evidence” he needs, Alexander dismisses and banishes all the Cardinals he does not trust. But one of them – Cardinal Orsini (David Dencik) – does not leave quietly, forcing Alexander to handle it with his bare hands. Meanwhile, Catherina Sforza (Gina McKee) orders Rufio (Thure Lindhardt) to seek support from the mercenary warlords of the Romagna families – Orsini, Vitelli and Colonna. Lucrezia (Holliday Grainger) is annoyed that her in-laws to be – the royal family of Naples – will not welcome her son Giovanni at court; plus she is realizing her feelings for Cesare (Francois Arnaud) are becoming more than sexual than sisterly.

So, who else was totally surprised by the armor scene happening before want/wanting?

tbh I wasn't that surprised. And also, it didn't look so out of place to me.

I know, right? It wasn't so much the armor scene as what happened during the armor scene. That kiss between Cesare and Lucrezia that comes right out of the blue!

Did you see Holliday in that scene after Francois removed his lips from hers?

Lucrezia looked like she was floating on air!

And then the very next scene with them was the "want and wanting" scene, and I was like, WTF? We're here already? I thought that Lucrezia wouldn't pull that until she was having issues with Alfonso's family, not just because she was horny due to Alfonso saving himself for the wedding night!

One little moment I loved: during the want and wanting scene right when they are about to kiss, Cesare whispers 'Dear God', well either that or 'Lucrezia'... which I guess is kind of one and the same in his mind. I only heard it because I watched it with headphones on.

The promo song "Under your spell" is pretty apt for the scene...

Loved every bit of those two scenes.

But I don't think she was just horny, she felt unloved like she said.

Yeah, she felt unloved as well, Katja. But I think she was also turned on by that kiss during the armor scene.

I think during that kiss Cesare was whispering, "at last," Frances.

Just a guess.

Sure, they had a very long build up of sexual tension.

I loved her little laugh in want/wanting when she asked him if he was a connaisseur of feet now.

And his face after they were interrupted was hilarious. He had absolutely no idea what to do next.

Yes I saw the tear. I think the armor kiss really encouraged her. That and Alfonso's behavior.

Yeah, I was surprised by that tear. It's like she was both sad and aroused at the same time. It's also like she was thinking, "Why couldn't Cesare and I have been doing this a little earlier?"

I think she felt alone and unloved. Who else than Cesare could make her feel loved again.
