I cant imagine Cesare heartbroken after sees Lucrezia with her new lover. He's gonna go darker, and became even more in love. I cant imagine how sad, for us shipper this is going to be.

In 2x02 it's obvious she missed Paolo and loves him. Though it's not enough to where she would runaway and leave her family. She think he's good person and doesn't want anything bad to happen to him. She's also caught up in the romantic aspect of her relationship with Paolo. She again mentions that he has not read the stories and that their love is impossible. Paolo asked her to see his son & her one last time before he left. She agreed to do that. They met up and had sex. Then he left the morning after. She broke down in tears. Then when she saw his body...she broke down again. Then when she found out Juan was behind the death she tried to kill Juan.

I think the C/L kiss is definitely a good sign! And so are Francois' interviews that he's constantly talking about C/L in and saying that all people want to talk about to him is C/L. I think the writers are now realizing how big this section of the fandom is And hopefully they noticed how crazy people went over that little C/L kiss so that it can lead to more I felt so bad for Lucrezia and Paulo though I can't wait to see C/L team up against Juan. I do think Lucrezia genuinely loved Paulo, but I don't think she necessarily loved him more than Cesare. When it comes down to it I think she'd always choose Cesare. And Cesare waiting for her in her room and helping her despite his obvious jealousy because he loves her more than himself was so sweet I thought it was cute how he made her promise to only see Paulo for one night And I love that Cesare is basically becoming a surrogate father to the baby. I'm really interested to see Cesare's reaction when he realizes Lucrezia might have another lover that she has feelings for, should be heartbreaking.

I really enjoyed CL in 2x03. Lucrezia was in the market shopping. Paolo's body had been hanged but she didn't know. Cesare found her there and tried to get her to leave. She caught onto the fact that Cesare was hiding something. Then she saw people gathered around the bridge. She ran over to Paolo's body. She threw herself on it. Cesare started yelling at the crowd and pointing his sword to tell them to back off. Then Cesare found a note that Paolo left her. Of course Lucrezia knew right away it wasn't suicide because Paolo couldn't read or write. She passed out. Cesare picked her up and carried her home. Lucrezia's son wouldn't stop crying because he was hungry. Lucrezia said that she wouldn't feed her child until Paolo got a proper burial. Cesare held the baby one time but he looked angry. Then he gave the baby a weird look. Rodrigo tried to calm the baby down but he wouldn't stop crying. Then the Pope finally gave in to giving Paolo a catholic burial. It was just Cesare, Lucrezia, the baby, and 2 other people at the burial. Then she figured out Juan had killed Paolo. So she went to his bedroom while he was sleeping with someone. Then she left a burning candle underneath the rope that was supporting his chandelier. The candle burned the rope and it fell on top of him while he was having sex. The girl died on top of him. Cesare came rushing in and helped them get rid of the body. Then Cesare, Lucrezia, and Juan all went to Vanozza's for dinner. Lucrezia was still pissed off. It's more than likely gonna be CL vs Juan this season.

So Cesare helped Juan get rid of the body. I think there is some brotherly love there, albeit it was surely mostly because Lucrezia killed the girl. I wonder how she will cope with that, not having killed her brother (which would have been a dilemma in itself but at least she was justified in her anger) but having killed an innocent girl.

I was surprised Lucrezia wanted to kill Juan. It felt weird to me. I get that she was devastated over Paolo but even Juan going after Paolo felt weird. The writers obviously wanted conflict but it came out of nowhere.
