Once upon a time, in the city of Rome there was a man called Cesare and a palace in Rome that had burned its furniture and closed his doors. Then the maid entered and found Lucrezia naked on Cesare ... and screamed. When she discovered that Lucrezia was pregnant with Cesar's baby, she was shocked and tried to blackmail them. Cesare decided to go to Micheletto and ask him to go garotte the maid so that no witnesses to the incest. Micheletto killed the maid and tossed her body out into the Tiber and then told Cesare the maid was dealt with. Cesare then realized that he needed to go to Lucrezia and tell her they should become better in hiding their kid until Cesare decided to disguise and hide him inside their secret bedroom. When Lucrezia went to their son and kissed him, goodnight and saw Cesare there in the room holding a smile. He told Lucrezia to keep their child safe from people who hated them and then go with him to Rodrigo to ask him for protection. Rodrigo issued a Papal Bull that baby Giovanni was legitimate. Then he called for assistance for Lucrezia to help change Juan's position on the baby's legitimacy. Lucrezia wanted Juan to leave them alone. Cesare went with Lucrezia to see if they can make Juan accept their relationship. But Juan was unmoved from his outrage and decided he could force Lucrezia to give up Cesare and go with him. Then he went to Rodrigo and ask why he wouldn't go with his sister to Naples and have her take her throne from her husband. Cesare told his brother that he wasn't going anywhere. Then Juan laughed at Cesare, which made him furious and determined to make him pay for trying to seduce Lucrezia.
