She's not part of the story then.

Ever since I was a kid, I've read Prince Valiant, which is set in the time of King Arthur. King Arthur is very old in that Comic Series, and when Mordred was in it, he was completely evil, and he took over Camelot for a while and nearly destroyed it. Is that true to the Arthurian legend?

In various versions of the story, Mordred seizes the throne when Arthur is away. In some he even marries Guinevere. Arthur comes back to fight him. Mordred is generally seen as villainous. Though when he first, appeared, in the Welsh annals, nothing was said of him other than that he died in the battle of Camlann in which Arthur was killed. In Malory, England is actually happier under Mordred than under Arthur, because under Arthur there was more war. But he's still the bad guy there. Arthur isn't "very old", but he's definitely not young by the time he fights Mordred.

In their final battle they kill each other. In Malory, Arthur impales Mordred on a spear and Mordred slides down the spear and gives Arthur a fatal blow.

I don't buy him as a warrior. Mordred has to be a warrior.
