Mordred being Merlin's son would have been a nice twist, but in the end - and as an ArMor shipper, even though I find BBC Merlin's ArMor more interesting than Camelot's - I'm glad they didn't change the legend in this way.

But I'm really curious of how Morgan will treat him, as well. I bet she will dote on him and love him deeply.

And um Eviekins15 I don't know if you've read the legends, but thats what happens. Guinevere is barren so Morgan has Arthur's only heir which therefore makes her the future King's mother and if Arthur dies she rules in her sons place until he comes of age. And yeah they are half-siblings but thats how the legend goes. In many versions he actually loved Morgan. I'm sure there's various ways she could prove its Arthur's son. Either through magic, through a test like the sword in the stone kind of thing, or just by showing that he has most of Arthur's features

No problem Yeah people who haven't read the legends are oftentimes surprised by the Arthur/Morgan(a) storyline Its mostly because all the recent adaptations like to only show Arthur/Guinevere as true love and ignore Arthur/Morgan(a) and mistreat Guinevere/Lancelot But there's a lot of lovely books about them

That is true, but since we know the legends and the whole point of the arc was for her to become pregnant with a king I think we pretty much can assume its Arthur's. That's how its always been in the legends.

I don't doubt it will be Arthur's son. He's always been Arthur's and no one else's. It wouldn't even make sense IMO to make him Merlin's because then he wouldn't be a threat to Arthur's rule and therefore has no use for Morgan, as harsh as it may sound now.

About the incest thing: I don't get why people are actually complaining about it or seem upset. (I don't mean you, Evie, just in case you might think so - it's about posts I have read on tumblr).
Back then, incest was common. In Pagan tradition, a brother and a sister would marry and have children because only then the family line would be secured. It's kind of the same as in Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Mists of Avalon" in which Arthur takes his sister Morgaine's maidenhood and she becomes pregnant with Mordred.

About the incest it doesn't bother me for the story line....that's how they did things.... They do it for game of thrones to.....still think it's disgusting thought lol
