How can Jon be a Targarian, when in the first season theyfocused on the book Ned used to try to prove Joffrey was not a Barathian. Lannisters -Blonde of hair and blue of eye. Barathian-Dark of hair and brown of eye. Targarian-Silver of hair and blue of eye.So this confuses me a little.Any thoughts?Am I missing something.Does Jon dye his hair and wear contacts???

Genetics explains it... although it's not as simplistic, it works for this case as when it comes to hair (dark hair; non-red hair; curly hair; full head of hair; widow's peak) and eyes (brown eyes) are dominant traits, so if one parent have those traits it's very likely that the kid will also have those

Yep. That's why Ned immediately knew that Joffrey couldn't be Robert's. The chances of the child of someone with fair hair and dark hair to actually have fair hair are close to non-existant. I don't know the exact percentage.
