^ True but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, considering how Drogo died back in season 1

But that's before they had any real feedback on the show and characters. I think they didn't think so many people would care for Drogo that fast. The show is well aware that Tormund would be an emotional death to have.

but that's the way he died in the books.. so even if they had that kinda Feedback, they wouldn't have changed it

I'm not saying they would've changed the way he died. But they might've put more attention on the fact at the moment itself, unlike the tormund situation where you only see Tormund jump to another part of the Wall and then the Wall collapses but you don't get to see if Tormund's part did as well.

It's not even a cliffhanger since I doubt many people gave that much thought, probably assuming Tormund is still alive.

I don't know... the show kept me guessing more times than I can count over the years, granted not much lately, but still I could see them killing off Tormund like that as shock value thing.
I was really worried about him.... Mel was the one that calmed me down and in a way, D&D don't really strike me as ones to not cater to fans so I'm a bit more at ease now.

On this case I'm really hoping that if Tormund has to die, that it won't be like this and that he has an epic fighting as his last

His death now would just be absolutely pointless, it wouldn't even have the shock value as it would've had when they were Beyond The Wall. And you can say what you want about D&D, deaths without a purpose isn't their style.

I do agree that having him dying Beyond the Wall would've been the perfect death for him

I was ready to lose someone I cared about.... which was expected considering the situation they were in.... not that I wanted any of them to die, but it was a bit disappointing that only Thoros and a few extra died I got all worked up for nothing

It was really obvious who was going to die. Those extras were basically redshirts and everyone knew it. They came out of nowhere and were literally just there to die.

Exactly!!! they did their job... I just expected something more to happen , granted we had the lost of Viseryion but still it was an extreme situation it was a miracle that basically they all survived
