I read the first book so fast AND I read it while watching the show simultaneously so... hmm.
Spoiler:
Everything else in the book, even if it was really fantastic, fills me with dread and/or sadness. LOL Oh I loved the Jon/Tyrion interaction in the book. I loved the way Tyrion spoke to Jon about his attitude and the way Jon was receptive to the lesson. That was really great. Maybe after a re-read I'll be better able to answer this. __________________

I think my favorite chapters in book 1 are Jon's and Arya's. It's tough, though - I like most all of the POV characters in book 1 (except maybe Sansa, but I still find most of her chapters interesting even when I don't like her).

I really need to do a re-read as i read all the books one after another but my fave would be the ones of my favourite characters, which would be Jon, Tryion and Arya.
I wish Robb had been a POV character. __________________
