Yeah I like that they both have that connection now, there is a mutual respect there. Tyrion was one of the first to realize how smart she was/could be, so he doesn't play or underestimate her, and she knows he is intelligent not to mention a good person. I like to see them as good allies

They went from season 2, with her wishing for his safe return as he went to defend Kings Landing from Stannis. Now here they are, awaiting the attack of King’s Landing by their allies.
